One way to support and encourage students from Scheduled Castes (SC) to pursue high-quality education is through this dormitory construction plan. For students from rural and isolated parts of the nation, these dormitories are very helpful. The construction of hostels for SC females began during the Third Five Year Plan (1961–1966), but the development of hostels for boys began in 1989–1990.
