Eligibility for Suryodaya Yojana

The people who are not financially strong will get the benefit of Suryodaya Yojana. The people who come from the Economically weaker Sections are eligible for the Suryodaya Yojana. The EWS people can implant solar panels on their roofs, they can produce electricity for themselves and if the electricity is produced higher than consumption, they can also sell the electricity. The target of PM Modi is one crore people for Suryodaya Yojana.

What is Roof Top Solar Panel

The Roof Top Solar Panel is a technique in which Solor Panels are installed on the roofs of the house or buildings and when the sun rays fall on the solar panels, they start producing electricity. Solar panels have photovoltaic cells, the job of photovoltaic cells is to convert solar energy into electricity. This is the same electricity that comes into our home from the power grid. The produced electricity from the solar panels will be stored in batteries and from those batteries, we operate the house appliances. And if the consumption is less than the production of electricity, a person can also sell the electricity and earn money from solar panels.

Process of Electricity Producing from Solar Panel

We are going to explain step by step the process of producing electricity at home from solar panel

  1. The Solar Panels are producing DC- Direct Current, this DC will be sent to the inverter.
  2. Then inverter will convert the DC Current into AC.
  3. The AC will move from the inverter to the Electricity Meter.
  4. The meter will send the electricity to the house for consumption.
  5. The extra electricity will go to the power grid from the meter.

Expenditure of Roof Top Solar Panel

The expense of a top Solar Panel will depend on the type of inverter and module. The Roof Top Solar Panel for IKW will be installed with an amount of Rs 45000 to Rs 85000. If someone opts for a 5KW Roof Top Solar Panel, the expenditure for solar panels will be Rs 2.50 Lacs to Rs 3.50 Lacs. Don’t worry about the expenditure as govt is giving subsidies for Roof Top Solar panels under Suryodaya Yojana also after completing the rooftop solar panel, your electricity bill becomes zero or less and the amount will be covered in 5 to 6 years.

Benefits of Solar Panel

  1. You can produce electricity at home.
  2. The electricity from the Solar Panels is cheap and easily available as compared to the power grid.
  3. You can use the roof of the house for the solar panel, no need for extra space.
  4. The life of a solar panel will be nearly 25 years and it has minimal maintenance cost.
  5. Govt of India is giving subsidies on Solar Panels, so you can easily buy them.
  6. You have to clear the solar panels to remove the dust from time to time as dust will reduce electricity production.
  7. The solar panel systems are no pollution solution for electricity and save our environment.

National Roof Top Solar Panel Scheme

This is currently the central govt scheme for Solar Panels, under this rooftop solar panel scheme, people are getting a 40% subsidy for solar panels for their homes. The solar panel will be 3KW under a 40% subsidy scheme. If you go for a 10kW solar panel, you will get a 20% subsidy for the rooftop solar panel.

Top States Which Are Producing Solar Energy

  1. Gujarat
  2. Maharashtra
  3. Rajasthan
  4. Kerala
  5. Uttar Pradesh
  6. Madhya Pradesh

Conclusion

The Suryodaya Yojana of PM Modi Ji is a beautiful scheme for energy efficiency. With the help of the Suryodaya Yojana, every home will be able to produce electricity for self-use and if the electricity is more than consumption, the people can also sell the electricity and earn money. It is an eco-friendly scheme.
